Match Report   At last a victory for the Sunday 2XI at the 12th attempt! A strengthened second team took the field against the Division 6 leaders.

Ali Hall and Andy Laughton opened the bowling and kept the score down as well as taking the first 3 wickets. Dan Collo came on and bowled quickly, but irratically and picked up the 4th wicket. At this stage Risley were 40-4. Jack Surtees came on and after a week or two off bowled a lovely line and length picking up a wicket. Rob's 'Polish Secret Weapon' also had a bowl and Z collected a wicket caught behind. It was at this stage that Rob's mathematical skills really showed through. Jack had to remind Rob that he had bowled his 5 overs he was allowed and Rob quickly turned to the pace of Kyle Barker, who promptly took 3 for 1 off 3 overs to wrap up the innings.

Lewis and Akers opened the batting against 2 reasonably sharp openers, and after hitting an big early blow Lewis departed for 5. Akers kept his end up whilst Dan C (8) R Barker (0) and Steve Milner (3) all departed leaving Fiskerton wobbling at 38-4 However Akers and Kyle Barker steadied the ship and looked comfortable taking the score at 80-4 with 20 overs still remaining, but Akers played a rash cut which looped up to point for 31. This brought Andy Laughton to the crease who is in great form with both bat and ball. He also hit 31 off 38 balls still supported by Kyle (20no) to bring home the victory.

Well done lads, now to push on for the final 2 games of the season.
