From what I saw and heard as a sepctator today, we were just up against a stronger team.
Well done to Kev Osbon for being the highest scorer for Fisko with the bat, he showed real commitment and respected his wicket battling to keep the ball out from the Ellerslie attack.
Having restricted a strong Ellerslie team to 236 - 7, it was always gonna be a hard total to chase down but with the Ellerslie extras being the 4th highest score on our batting card to the tune of 9 runs. It shows that netting is an essential part of cricket in the summer months. Not just in the months of Feb & March in a Leisure Centre. With that in mind please, try and get down the ground to practice gents.
Well done to Luke Rees, who continues to show promise with the ball, 6-0-26-1.
Sorry if I have missed anything, but as I said earlier, I was only a spectator for some of the game.
MOTM - goes to Kev Osbon for showing discipline with the bat.
Capt Calamity - goes to Dan Collington, I don't know if he was worthy of it for todays performance. But I have awarded it to him because last weeks performance was so bad, he deserved it twice!!
