Match Report

Boiling hot, lost the toss and put in the field to bake for 2.5 hours. LOVELY.

A good start from the lads, taking a couple of early wickets, unfortunately a middle order stand put plenty on the board for Farndon. However not an ungettable traget set, as 248 was posted. We had comfortably chased down 209 in May of this year at home to take the points, which was still on the minds of many of the Farndon players. So all it needed was one player to anchor the innings and allow contributions from other players and bat round him.

Only 3 batsman really got in, and to our disappoint they soon got out, just 40 runs being the highest score, so with the tail exposed Farndon moved in for the kill. 150 all out!

Still, as always there were little snippits of our game coming together, and I am sure we can still turn our season around. We haven't played like a team that deserves to be in  the bottom 2, and if we can just tweek a couple of things, we will be there or there abouts.

MOTM - Dan Collington - Good knock, and is showing he can use his brain whilst bowling

Capt Calamity - Dan Collington - Because I still can't get over the fact he went missing at Southwell 2 weeks ago and was found fast asleep when he was due to go in to bat!!
